Marc was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. He attended Century High School in Bismarck and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Moorehead State University in Moorehead, Minnesota. He was heading to medical school to become a heart surgeon when he decided to make a dramatic career change. After becoming a computer consultant and working in such cities as Boston, Kansas City, Portland and San Francisco he took a permanent position in the bay area. Marc and Gina met through friends while they were both working in California. They were married December 2004 and began working on the Terrell Creek Landing project a month later. “I had never been to the Pacific Northwest until I met Gina,” Marc Weigum said, “I absolutely loved the area and was ready to make it our home.” Gina was born and raised in Bellingham. She attended Bellingham High School and Western Washington University. She moved to Seattle in the early ‘90’s and then to California where she worked in the high tech industry. She also received an MBA from Pepperdine University before finding her way home this last year. “It has been an incredibly adventurous first year of marriage,” Gina Weigum said. “We’ve had a blast working on this project together.” Gina has been coming to Birch Bay since she was a child. She remembers floating on logs in the bay with her younger sister for hours at a time. “We used to come here every weekend in the summer,” Weigum said, “I don’t remember ever having more fun as a kid then my summers at Birch Bay.” With their passion for Birch Bay and their love of real estate, the Weigums decided to build Terrell Creek Landing. They currently live in Birch Bay. |
